The admission policies of Keiser Career College were developed to assure that all students have a reasonable expectation of successfully completing their chosen program. All entrance requirements have been developed by the administration along with the faculty. The requirements are tailored to the individual programs of study. Specific prerequisites are listed in the program description section of this catalog. Students wishing to attend Keiser Career College should submit their applications well in advance of the date they have chosen to enter school. This will permit proper scheduling and assure availability of space in the classroom. All applicants are encouraged to secure guidance from an Admissions Coordinator to determine the program of study best suited to their individual needs. After the application for admission has been submitted, a transcript of the applicant’s high school grades should be sent to the college. Students will complete an enrollment agreement only after having visited the campus. Individuals who have earned a high school equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) must submit an official copy of this record. Generally, an original or correct copy is required as proof of these credentials. It is the responsibility of the applicant to arrange for the school or issuing agency to send the required credentials directly to the admissions office. Non-U.S. high school and college documents must be submitted with an English translation to the admissions office for evaluation. A student must make arrangements to take Keiser Career College's entrance examination (administered at the school) or provide results of his/her Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing exam (ACT).
Institution requirements for admission are a combined score of 1420 on the
SAT (or 800 on the previously used SAT examination), a composite score of 17
on the ACT or successful passing score on the school's entrance examination. Home schooled applicants who have earned a High School Diploma will also be considered for admission. Home schooled applicants should present their SAT or ACT scores with their application. Additional requirements are necessary for the Practical Nurse Program.
Keiser Career College reserves the right to accept ten percent of its applicants who do not meet the appropriate entrance exam score and request admission based on other criteria.
